Meet Dr. T
I’m Dr. Souji Tummuru, an OB-GYN turned physician injector, and Founder of Northshore Aesthetic Physician, based on Chicago’s North Shore.. For more than a decade, I built my medical career around one consistent belief: that how a patient feels about what they see in the mirror matters just as much as the clinical outcome.
I built Northshore Aesthetic Physician around the artistry of caring for women, which has always been at the heart of everything I do, whether that’s in the operating room or the injector’s chair. When you’re in my care, I want to be a physician who sits across from you, learns about your face, explains what’s actually happening as you age, and works with you toward a result that looks like you, just refreshed. My approach is built on shared decision-making between you and I. It’s how I’ve always practiced medicine, and it’s how I practice aesthetics.
As an OB-GYN for many years and working in the OR, my path to aesthetics actually makes a lot of sense: I’m known for my skin closures. I care deeply about how a skin closure will look for years to come, which is a natural foundation for the type of aesthetic treatments that I now provide. It sparked a curiosity within me to discover a new way to bring an artful approach to women’s health. What I realized, looking back, is that I had always cared about how people felt about what they saw on the outside, because that often defines our feelings on the inside.
Those years also taught me that the empathy I brought to every patient interaction was one of the most valuable things I had to offer, and continues to be today. I’m passionate about this work because I feel deeply connected to the women I serve. I share so much in common with you. In midlife, I understand what’s happening to our skin, our hormones, and our sense of self during this season of life, clinically and personally. That combination of lived experience and medical expertise is something I bring into every single interaction with my clients. I want to help you feel like yourself again through treatments that are personalized, precise, and never overdone.
